About the game
NBA Jam was released by Midway in 1993, designed by Mark Turmell. Two-on-two basketball with real NBA rosters, no fouls, players who catch fire after three straight baskets and dunks from the free-throw line made it the highest-earning arcade game of its year. It is the arcade sports game most people remember and, by search volume, the second most looked-for arcade machine in the country after Pac-Man.
