Terminator 2 Pinball Machine by Williams

Terminator 2: Judgment Day was released by Williams in 1991 and designed by Steve Ritchie, with Arnold Schwarzenegger providing custom speech. It was the first Williams WPC game designed around a dot-matrix display, the first pinball with an autoplunger in place of the plunger, the first with a ball-firing cannon and the first with a video mode played on the display. The playfield layout descends from Ritchie's 1980 Firepower.

What is on the playfield

Two flippers, three pop bumpers, two ramps, two kick-out holes, the ball cannon, the video mode, a left outlane kickback and the autoplunger. A vertical up-kicker under the skull sends the ball along a habitrail to the cannon on the right, which oscillates so the player can aim at any of five targets on the left; pulling the trigger on the gun-grip shooter fires it. The T-1000 appears only on the display because the film was still secret during design.

This unit is an original Williams machine, shop-refurbished. Terminator 2 is one of the most searched classic pinball titles and, at its price, one of the most affordable ways into a Williams WPC game.

Will it fit? The cabinet measures 28 in wide, 56 in deep and 77 in tall and weighs about 250 lb. Check doorways and stairs against the width and depth; the backbox folds down and the legs come off for transport, so the box passes through a standard interior door on its side.
